2nd December’ 2008, Islamabad:
Inbox Business Technologies conducted a one day training for Pakistan Telecommunication Mobile Limited (Ufone) over the Basic Enterprise IT Infrastructure in association with Acer Computer. Purpose of training was to educate our customers over Acer’s current offerings and their portfolio. It was conducted by Zahid Mahmood, Country Sales Manger, Acer Computer Middle East.
Acer computer is among the top three computing giants in the world. As Acer Executive Partner, Inbox is authorized to sell and service Acer products to enterprise customers in Pakistan. Inbox is strongest of the two Acer Executive Partners in Pakistan.
Ufone is one of the largest cellular service provider of Pakistan with extensive network spread all across the nation. Ufone has recently signed the largest ever Microsoft Enterprise Agreement in the history of Pakistan with Inbox. The is a multi-million dollar agreement which spans over three years and includes MS Enterprise Licenses as well as other value-added services.

Constitution of the Task Force on Information & Communication Technologies (ICT), has announced its new board and team members. We are proud to say that Mr. Ghias Khan, CEO of Inbox Business Technologies has been selected as Co-Chairman of the Task Force team. This selection is based on mutual consensus of steering committee of Government of Pakistan Planning Commission, and Planning & Development Division.
Further to this Mr. Saleem Ghouri, President of Netsol Technologies has been elected as the Chairman. Ms. Jehan Ara, President of Pakistan Software House Association; Mr. Atif Rais Khan, Chairman & CEO of LMKR; Mr. Wahaj-us-Siraj, CEO of Micronet Broadband; Mr. Waleed Sophie, Head of Pakistan Office Products; Dr, Junaid Mughal, Dean Faculty of Electronics Engineering of G.I.K. Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology; Dr, Sarmad Hussain, CRULP of NU-FAST; Dr. Atash Durrani, Center of Excellence in Urdu Informatics of National Language Authority Islamabad have been selected as Members; Dr. Shaukat Hameed Khan, Member of Planning Commission Division of Islamabad has been elected as Convenor; and Mr. Qaiser Sohail, Director General of Planning & Development Division Islamabad as Member/Secretary of the committee.
Along with other major activities, the sole purpose of Task Force constituted on ICT is to review, plan, estimate, identify and recommend key decisions over current IT policy of the country; changing trends of software, hardware, and BPO markets; expansion of IT exports; IT quality and security gaps; and their respective action plans. ICT’s focus is not only identification and classification of the gaps currently present in the local IT industry but also to focus on its enhancement and evolvement within the country.

After successful completion of Digital Pen and Paper platform for simplifying business processes of branch banking at UBL; and signing an Outsourcing agreement for providing support and backup services to the bank, Inbox has signed yet another agreement for upgrading their technology infrastructure through IBM solutions and services.
As per the agreement, UBL has acquired licenses for IBM DB2 Common Store; IBM DB2 Content Manager Enterprise Edition; and IBM DB2 Common Store for Exchange Server. Inbox would provide complete implementation services to UBL for deploying these applications and storage system.
IBMDB2 CommonStore for Exchange Server is the IBM e-mail archive management product for Microsoft Exchange customers, providing e-mail archive content and storage management capabilities. DB2 Content Manager or Content Manager OnDemand serves as the enterprise repository for virtually all content, from documents to images, digital media, and web content and IBM Storage solution covers extensive requirements to expedite the backend systems of UBL. Inbox will also provide IBM Smooth Start Services (installation) for Storage solution along with training options for guiding over proper usage of implemented system.

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani inaugurated the ceremony and handed over the awards to the winning brands. Ghias Khan, CEO, Inbox Business Technologies said, “As Inbox Business Technologies has expanded from a single-product company to a multiple products and services company; the Inbox brand has stayed true to its promise of performance and simplicity.”
Brands of the Year, is an award given out by an independent body that evaluates brand performance and publishes a research book every year entitled, 100 Most Acclaimed Brands of Pakistan.

Inbox Business Technologies has signed an agreement with Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited for Microsoft Select Licenses. According to the agreement, Pak Suzuki would acquire a number of Microsoft licenses including Office 2007, Microsoft Visio 2007, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Server (CAL) licenses from Inbox.
